The McCutcheon Mavericks waltzed into their matchup Friday with six straight wins but they left with seven. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Harrison 56-29 at home. The result was nothing new for McCutcheon, who have now won seven contests by 23 points or more so far this season.
McCutcheon was led to victory by Aubrey Miller and Lillie Graves. Miller scored 14 points along with seven rebounds, while Graves scored 13 points along with five rebounds and five steals. The match was Graves' 12th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Chloe Finney, who scored seven points along with six steals.

McCutcheon's victory bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Harrison, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 8-5.
McCutcheon will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Chesterton at 2:00 p.m. on December 27th. Chesterton knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matchups -- so hopefully McCutcheon likes a good challenge. Harrison won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Plainfield at 2:30 p.m. on December 16th. Plainfield is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 60.7 points per game.
