Ortiz scored a full 53.1% of Denver North's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Lillianna Bateman was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six rebounds.
Denver North bumped their record down to 4-2 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Evergreen, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
Denver North will be playing at home against Hinkley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Evergreen, they will head out on the road to face off against Longmont at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Longmont's defense has only allowed 28 points per game this season, so Evergreen's offense will have their work cut out for Evergreen.
