On Tuesday, Durango made easy work of Pagosa Springs and carried off a 3-0 victory. The Demons haven't had any issues with the Pirates recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.
Durango not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Pagosa Springs between 18 and 21 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-21, 25-19.
Fruita Monument won the last time they faced Grand Junction Central and Dana Conklin did her part to make sure it happened again. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Warriors on Thursday for which the team can thank Conklin, who had 17 digs and one assist. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 16 or more in each of the last three games she's played.
While Fruita Monument won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-23, 25-21.
Fruita Monument's victory bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Durango, their win bumped their record up to 5-12.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's contest: Durango has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 6.4 aces per game.
