Taylorville put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Jersey Panthers by a score of 6-1. The six-run effort marked the Tornadoes' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Blake Ladage looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits.

At the plate, Taylorville's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Colton Gatton, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. That stolen base was Gatton's first of the season.

Taylorville's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Jersey, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Taylorville will face off against Argenta-Oreana at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jersey, they will challenge Carlinville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Jersey is facing Carlinville at the right time seeing as Carlinville is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
