The Moberly Spartans will face off against the Centralia Panthers at TBD on Friday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Moberly put the finishing touches on their sixth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They blew past Macon, posting a 49-10 win at home. The victory was just what Moberly needed coming off of a 34-7 loss in their prior match.
Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Centralia ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They secured a 24-18 W over Hallsville. The score was all tied up 6-6 at the break, but Centralia was the better team in the second half.
Jesse Caballero continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 111 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries. Caballero was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 57 yards.
Centralia's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB five times. The heavy lifting was done by Ian Tuggle and Chris Brown who racked up four sacks between them.
Moberly's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Centralia, their win was their sixth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 9-1.
