Baseball Recap: Friday's Victory Is Era's Fourth in Last Five Outings

Era hadn't done well against Muenster recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Era walked away with a 9-6 win over Muenster. This was a revenge game for Era: when they faced off against Muenster last Tuesday, they had to take a 7-2 loss.

Brady Barnes and Jake Stevens did most of the damage at the plate: Barnes went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI, while Stevens went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Those three RBI gave Stevens a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Caiden Mitchell, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Era is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-4-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. Muenster's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6-2.

Coming up, Era will take on Lindsay at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Muenster, they will square off against Pottsboro at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
