St. Anthony had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. They never let the Marissa/Coulterville Meteors get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Bulldogs sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row dating back to last season.
Xander Beals and Henry Brent made a splash no matter where they played. On the mound, Beals tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Brent tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. At bat, Beals scored a run and stole two bases, while Brent went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.
In other batting news, Brady Hatton was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-2. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brock Fearday, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.
Marissa/Coulterville's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
