The Wishkah Valley Loggers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by Crescent on the road and fell 76-14. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Wishkah Valley in their matchups with Crescent: they've now lost three in a row.
Crescent was led to victory by Conner Bauers and Lukas Love. Bauers scored ten points along with seven steals, while Love scored 27 points along with seven rebounds. The matchup was Love's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mikah Love, who scored seven points along with five assists.
Wishkah Valley's loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-3. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 12.2 points per game. As for Crescent, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 7-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wishkah Valley will be home for the holidays to greet Clallam Bay at 5:45 p.m. on Saturday. Clallam Bay has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 187 points over their last three matchups. Crescent won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Shoreline Christian at 7:15 p.m. on December 15th. Shoreline Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Crescent likes a good challenge.
