Basketball Recap: Make It Two in a Row for North East Carolina Prep

If Hobgood Charter wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played North East Carolina Prep, they should've done a better job of containing Chadwick Barnes. The North East Carolina Prep Husky took down the Hobgood Charter Raiders 67-48 on Tuesday thanks in part to Barnes, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 19 rebounds. Barnes is crushing it when it comes to boards: he's pulled down at least 11 every time he's taken the court this season.

Several Raiders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jameson Moore, who posted nine points. That's the most points Moore has posted since back in January of 2024. Hudson Roberson was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on ten points and nine boards.

The victory made it two in a row for North East Carolina Prep and bumps their season record up to 9-2. As for Hobgood Charter, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

North East Carolina Prep wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 73-71 win against Southside on the 8th. As for Hobgood Charter, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 65-48 defeat against Northside - Pinetown on the 9th.
