The Arrupe Jesuit Generals had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They claimed a resounding 48-14 win over Rocky Mountain Prep SMART on the road. With Arrupe Jesuit ahead 26-5 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Karen Alvarez was the offensive standout of the contest as she scored 18 points along with 7 assists and 4 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Atany Peter, who scored 4 points along with 3 steals.
Arrupe Jesuit's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Rocky Mountain Prep SMART, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Arrupe Jesuit will square off against Jefferson Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Rocky Mountain Prep SMART, they will head out on the road to face off against Alameda at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
