The Nimitz Vikings are taking a road trip to challenge the Richardson Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Nimitz has struggled recently with six defeats in a row, while Richardson will arrive with seven straight victories.
On Thursday, Nimitz came up short against Berkner and fell 7-3.
Damien Franco was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Christian Ugalde, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Richardson got themselves on the board against Irving on Thursday, but Irving never followed suit. They didn't even let the Tigers on the board, marking their second-straight 10-0 shutout.
Cal Attel made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February.
In other pitching news, Sullivan Riley looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February.
Back at the plate, Richardson got a big performance out of Marcus Bond, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most runs Bond has posted over his last seven games. Michael Thrailkill was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Nimitz's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Richardson, their record is now 12-4-2.
Nimitz was able to grind out a solid win over Richardson in their previous meeting back in March of 2025, winning 6-2. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
