Baseball Recap: Tolleson Takes a Loss

On Monday, the Tolleson Wolverines came up short against the Ponderosa Mustangs and fell 5-1. That's two games in a row now that the Wolverines have lost by exactly four runs.

Tolleson got a good showing from SERGIO BLANCO, who pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. BLANCO has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Tolleson saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was ANTHONY OROZCO, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

This is the second loss in a row for Tolleson and nudges their season record down to 4-6-1. As for Ponderosa, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Tolleson didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 4-0 win against Timnath on the 17th. As for Ponderosa, they have also already played their next game, a 9-6 victory against Damonte Ranch on the 18th.
