Northside waltzed into their contest on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They walked away with an 8-4 victory over the Munday Moguls. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Indians also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

A. Reed was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 14 batters over seven innings while giving up four earned runs off eight hits. Reed was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, A. Acosta was excellent, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that she hit this season. Another player making a difference was KJ Hollenbaugh, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Northside always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .567. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .556 or higher in six consecutive matches.

Northside's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.3 runs over those games. As for Munday, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northside will host Knox City at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Munday, they will welcome Harrold at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Munday is facing Harrold at the right time seeing as Harrold is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
