The Cypress Falls Eagles will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Bellaire Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. Cypress Falls is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games.
Cypress Falls is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed past Cypress Ridge to the tune of 63-7 on Saturday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Cypress Falls found their leader in sophomore Deron Simpson, who rushed for 132 yards and one score on only ten carries. Simpson's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 100 rushing yards. Jaquan Gaines helped out on the ground, rushing for 87 yards and a rushing touchdown.
Cypress Falls was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 274 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 161 rushing yards in six consecutive matchups.
Cypress Falls didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Juelz St. Fleur, Deondre Gordon-Brown, and Liam Madkins picked up one apiece. Cypress Falls received some extra help from Kaiden Jones, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
Meanwhile, Bellaire played a tough game last Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 49-0 defeat at the hands of Lamar. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Bellaire's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Cypress Falls, their record is now 7-3.
Friday's contest might be decided in the trenches. Cypress Falls has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 247.2 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Bellaire, though, as they've been averaging only 90.8 rushing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?
Everything came up roses for Cypress Falls against Bellaire when the teams last played back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 59-7 win. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Cardinals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
