St. Andrew's Episcopal hasn't had much luck against Maret recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The St. Andrew's Episcopal Lions will venture away from home to square off against the Maret Frogs at 5:45 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
St. Andrew's Episcopal is headed into the contest having just posted their biggest victory since December 13, 2024 on Thursday. They blew past Georgetown Day 53-29. The win was all the more spectacular given the Lions' disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 60th in Maryland, while the Mighty Hoppers are ranked eighth in District of Columbia).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. Andrew's Episcopal to victory, but perhaps none more so than Chloe Ferber, who posted nine points in addition to five assists and five rebounds. Those nine points gave Ferber a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Anna Beth Tsai-Turton, who earned nine points and seven boards.
Meanwhile, Maret had just enough and edged Mt. Zion Prep Academy Blue out 49-47 on Saturday.
St. Andrew's Episcopal better keep an eye on Kennedy Austin. She was instrumental in Maret's win, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 14 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Austin has scored at least a third of Maret's points. London Liley was another key player, going 8 of 15 on her way to 20 points and five boards.
St. Andrew's Episcopal pushed their record up to 6-6 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.3 points per game. As for Maret, their win bumped their record up to 11-5.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: St. Andrew's Episcopal has been crashing the rebounds this season, having averaged 34.3 boards per game. However, it's not like Maret struggles in that department as they've been averaging 36 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
St. Andrew's Episcopal might still be hurting after the 58-38 loss they got from Maret in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Austin, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten boards. Now that St. Andrew's Episcopal knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
