The Southern Indians's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their 21st straight defeat. They were outmatched by East Palestine on the road and fell 75-43. Southern was down 56-34 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
It was another big night for Owen Jurjavicic, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and ten rebounds for East Palestine. Jurjavicic is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Rj May, who scored 16 points along with three steals.
Southern dropped their record down to 1-21 with that defeat, which was their 12th straight on the road. As for East Palestine, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-11.
Southern does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for East Palestine, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Lordstown at 6:45 p.m. One thing working in East Palestine's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three games.
