Baseball Recap: Douglass Has No Trouble Against Oxon Hill

Douglass won the last time they faced Oxon Hill and things went their way on Friday too. The Eagles blew past the Clippers 14-4. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by seven runs or more this season.

Brenden Cribbs made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run but no hits. Cribbs was also big at the plate, getting on base in both of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Arrington Price, III, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. Another player making a difference was Kayden Wilkins, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs.

Douglass always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .714. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Douglass' win bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Oxon Hill, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Douglass will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Clippers: the pair will be back at it again later today.
