Basketball Recap: Terrell County Comes Up Short

Terrell County lost against Early County back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Terrell County Greenwave took a 53-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Early County Bobcats. The Greenwave just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Terrell County lost, don't look at Jaylin Perry. Despite the final result, he posted 19 points. With that strong performance, Perry is now averaging an impressive 15.4 points per game. Another player making a difference was Dominique Polite, who put up nine points.

Leading Early County to victory were Dekaevon Lindsey and Jabril Lindsey. Dekaevon almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds, while Jabril dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Charles Williams, who earned seven points and five rebounds.

Terrell County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Early County, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Terrell County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 62-34 win against Pataula Charter Academy on the 14th. As for Early County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 50-41 victory against Randolph-Clay on the 14th.
