Dylan Higgins went supernova for Parrish Community, scoring 31 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Higgins has scored at least 25% of Parrish Community's points. Another player making a difference was Malakai Cuffy, who scored 10 points along with 6 assists and 3 steals.
Bayshore's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Demetrios Kimon, who scored 18 points along with 7 rebounds. William Strawbridge was another key contributor, scoring 10 points.
Parrish Community's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Bayshore, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Parrish Community will take on IMG Academy Silver at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. IMG Academy Silver will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 263rd, while Parrish Community is ranked 65th). As for Bayshore, they will be playing at home against Manatee at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
