Cape Fear Christian Academy has gone a perfect 7-0 against Village Christian Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Knights at 5:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Cape Fear Christian Academy has six straight wins, Village Christian Academy has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Cape Fear Christian Academy had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 15-run drubbing they dealt Christ the Cornerstone Academy on Tuesday. The Eagles never let the Defenders get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory. Considering the Eagles have won four contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Glenna Mclamb was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI.
