The Kelly Hawks lost against the Saxony Lutheran Crusaders back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Kelly was dealt a 75-45 loss at the hands of Saxony Lutheran. Kelly has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Saxony Lutheran's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Abigail Haley, who scored 25 points along with six rebounds and six steals. Those 25 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Rebecca Johnson, who scored 23 points along with six assists.
Kelly now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Saxony Lutheran, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-4.
Kelly does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Saxony Lutheran will be playing in front of their home fans against Central at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Central is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
