The Ringgold Redskins posted their biggest victory since November 18, 2023 on Monday. They blew past Homer 76-45 on the road. Given Ringgold's advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 79th, while Homer is ranked 269th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Ringgold's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jbari Adams led the charge by dropping a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds. Adams is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last 26 games he's played. Jordyn Wilson was another key contributor, scoring 21 points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Ringgold has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 21-9 record this season. As for Homer, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.
Ringgold won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Plain Dealing at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th. Plain Dealing is no doubt hoping to put an end to an eight-game streak of away losses. As for Homer, they will head out on the road to face off against Mansfield at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
