The Bridges Prep Buccaneers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Royal Live Oaks Academy 86-15 at home. Bridges Prep has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 20 points or more this season.
Bridges Prep got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was X Butler out in front who dropped a double-double on 32 points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Butler has scored all season. Te'shaun Heyward was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 14 assists.
The win (which was Bridges Prep's third in a row) raised their record to 16-4. As for Royal Live Oaks Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7-1.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Whale Branch the next time they take the court. Royal Live Oaks Academy will host Whale Branch at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, while Bridges Prep will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
