The Glencoe Yellowjackets waltzed into their match Wednesday with seven straight wins but they left with eight. They snuck past Douglas with a 46-40 win.
Glencoe's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Autumn Greene led the charge by scoring four points along with six rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Alli Jo Amos, who scored five points along with eight rebounds.
Glencoe's victory bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Douglas, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-13.
Glencoe won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Jacksonville at 10:30 a.m. on December 28th. Hopefully Jacksonville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Wednesday. As for Douglas, they will head out on the road to face off against New Hope at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
