Basketball Game Preview: C.B. Aycock Golden Falcons vs. East Wake Warriors

The C.B. Aycock Golden Falcons will take on the East Wake Warriors in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in C.B. Aycock's favor as the squad sits on 11 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while East Wake has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.

If C.B. Aycock beats East Wake with 44 points on Friday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. C.B. Aycock walked away with a 44-33 win over Northern Nash on Friday.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead C.B. Aycock to victory, but perhaps none more so than Audrey Teasley, who posted 13 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Teasley is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 17 games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Smith, who had ten points.

C.B. Aycock smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive rebounds in five consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, East Wake played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 45-17 loss at the hands of Knightdale. The game marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

East Wake's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for C.B. Aycock, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.

C.B. Aycock didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against East Wake in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 26-20 win. Does C.B.
