Bishop Sullivan Catholic was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fifth to third in VISFA Tidewater. The Crusaders beat Hampton Roads Academy 40-0 earlier in the week.
Norfolk Christian extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Greenbrier Christian Academy, 35-0. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Michael Tyler Lepore was the best wideout in the league this week as Nansemond-Suffolk Academy beat Trinity Episcopal. Tyler Lepore tallied five receptions for 57 yards. Matt Newhall helped Nansemond-Suffolk Academy's passing attack out by catching two balls for 34 yards.
David Gough was the most productive running back in VISFA Tidewater this week. In 24 carries, he ran for 89 yards as the Saints beat the Titans. Ryan McClain also contributed to the rushing game with 62 yards on the ground.
Colby Lee put up the best numbers through the air as the Gators fell to Norfolk Christian. He finished with three completions for 50 yards and 40 touchdowns. Lee's favorite target this week was Trey Jones, who caught one pass for 40 yards.
Greenbrier Christian Academy's Josh Miller and Bryce Myers have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Miller has thrown for 777 yards this season, while Myers, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has 23 catches for 509 yards. Quincy Mock from the Navigators leads the league in rushing with 1169 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Norfolk Academy takes on Bishop Sullivan Catholic. At the moment, the Bulldogs are in fourth, while Carl Turner's team is in third.
