Glenmora fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Catholic of Pointe Coupee on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Hornets by a score of 8-7. The Wildcats' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Wyatt Gillispie was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three runs. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cullyn Robbins, who went 4-for-5 with two RBI and one double.

Glenmora's defeat dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Catholic of Pointe Coupee, they moved to 2-15 with that victory, which also ended their six-game losing streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Glenmora will face off against Harrisonburg at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Catholic of Pointe Coupee, they will welcome False River at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
