There's no place like home for the Rising Sun Tigers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 47-33 win over Havre de Grace on Monday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Rising Sun also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Havre de Grace's loss came despite strong showings from Azareya Whiting and Natalie Burton. Whiting scored seven points along with six rebounds and four steals, while Burton scored eight points. Whiting is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.
Rising Sun's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-3. As for Havre de Grace, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-7 record this season.
Rising Sun will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Perryville at 7:00 p.m. As for Havre de Grace, they will take on Patterson Mill at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Patterson Mill focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Monday.
