Cresskill has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on The Wood-Ridge Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cresskill and Wood-Ridge are at an even 3-3 over their past six MAXFOOTBALL head to heads.
Last Friday, Cresskill came up short against North Arlington and fell 27-20.
Meanwhile, Wood-Ridge got themselves on the board against Lodi on Saturday, but Lodi never followed suit. They blew past the Rams, posting a 44-0 victory on the road. The result was nothing new for Wood-Ridge, who have now won three contests by 24 points or more so far this season.
Jimmy Masucci continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 150 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries, while also throwing for 40 yards and two touchdowns. Wood-Ridge also got a significant boost from Za'ki McGhee, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 90 yards.
Wood-Ridge's win bumped their season record to 5-3 while Cresskill's defeat dropped theirs to 3-4.
Things could have been worse for Cresskill, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 23-6 loss to Wood-Ridge when the teams last played back in September of 2022. Can Cresskill avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
