We expected Harlowton/Ryegate to have trouble with the significantly higher-ranked Hot Springs on Saturday, and they did. Harlowton/Ryegate suffered a grim 47-18 defeat to Hot Springs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Engineers of the 34-12 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head Aug. 30.
This is the second loss in a row for Harlowton/Ryegate and nudges their record down to 4-6. The victory for Hot Springs kept them a perfect 10-0.
Harlowton/Ryegate does not have any more games currently scheduled. As for the Savage heat, they will face off against MonDak [Westby/Grenora] on Saturday. It should be a fierce showdown as the Savage heat are ranked 10th in the MaxPreps state rankings and MonDak [Westby/Grenora] is ranked seventh.
