There's no place like home for the Fuchs Mizrachi Mayhem, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top against Westside Christian Academy by a score of 70-57 on Tuesday. That looming 70-57 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Fuchs Mizrachi yet this season.
Westside Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Calvin Cottenden, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds and four steals. Those four steals set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Reid Guertin, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds.
Even though they lost, Westside Christian Academy were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Fuchs Mizrachi's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Westside Christian Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
Fuchs Mizrachi will head out on the road to face off against Bard Early College at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Westside Christian Academy will be home for the holidays to greet Christian Community at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Christian Community is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games.
