Softball Recap: North's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

North had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They were the clear victors by a 17-4 margin over the East Bakersfield Blades on Tuesday. The Stars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 contests by six runs or more this season.

North got a massive performance out of Natalie De Leon, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. That's the most RBI De Leon has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Allison Jauregui, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.

North always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .684. They are 12-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

North's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 14-8. As for East Bakersfield, they dropped their record down to 3-16 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: North beat the Blades by a score of 15-3 on Thursday.
