The Southside Christian Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the Living Water Christian Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Southside Christian is hoping to put an end to a nine-game streak of away losses.
After soaring to 56 points the game before, Southside Christian were a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 52-20 loss at the hands of Neuse Charter. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Southside Christian has suffered since November 28, 2023.
Meanwhile, Living Water Christian's recent rough patch got a bit rougher two weeks ago after their third straight loss. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 40-39 to Bethel Christian Academy.
JANISE HOLMES put forth a good effort for the losing side as she dropped a double-double on 27 points and 13 rebounds. That was a full 69.2% of Living Water Christian's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was JAYDIN JEFFERSON, who scored no points along with seven rebounds and seven steals.
Southside Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Living Water Christian, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Southside Christian was taken down by Living Water Christian 63-22 in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Thankfully for Southside Christian, MaNyah THOMAS-WILSON (who scored 27 points along with seven rebounds and six assists) won't be suiting up this time.
