Perkins entered their tilt with Bellevue on Wednesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Redmen by a score of 8-3. That's more bragging rights for the Pirates, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Kash Koch made a splash while hitting and pitching. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over five innings pitched. Koch was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Quentin Binette, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI.

Perkins pushed their record up to 6-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Bellevue, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Perkins is set to take on their familiar foe Norwalk at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Pirates 3.1, the Truckers 1.7) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Bellevue will face off against rival Sandusky at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday.
