The Cloudland Highlanders were the 42-24 winner over the Greenback Cherokees when they last played one another back in November of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. Cloudland suffered a rough 41-20 defeat at the hands of Greenback on Friday.
Among those leading the charge was Caden Lawson, who threw for 225 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.3 yards per attempt, and also punched in a rushing score. Brady Allison was another key contributor, picking up 67 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Cloudland's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Greenback, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-6 record this season.
Cloudland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Greenback will head out on the road to face off against Oliver Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Oliver Springs is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
