Estero has enjoyed a four-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They just played last night, but they'll still head out to face the Riverdale Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard on Tuesday.
On Monday, Estero came up short against Naples and fell 66-57. Estero has not had much luck with Naples recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Brady Knutson put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 24 points along with five rebounds. The contest was Knutson's third in a row with at least ten points. Jacob Sander was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, Riverdale scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 74-31 win over Moore Haven. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Riverdale has managed all season.
Estero's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Riverdale, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-4.
Estero beat Riverdale 65-54 in their previous matchup back in December of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for Estero since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
