 Meanwhile, Dayton fell victim to Lufkin and their airtight pitching crew  on Friday. They suffered a  rough 8-0 defeat at the hands of the Panthers. Having soared to a lofty 14  runs in the game before, Dayton's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
  Madi Alvarado spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six earned  (and two unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in eight consecutive pitching appearances.
 Huntsville has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 14 of their last 15 games,  which provided a nice bump to their 25-4 record  this season. As for Dayton, their loss dropped their record down to 21-9.
 Tuesday's   matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Huntsville has hit smart this season,  having  averaged  an OBP of .445. However, it's not like Dayton struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .438. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
