 In other batting news, Liberty Center got a big performance out of  Macie Krugh, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 1-for-3.  Hope Atkinson was another key player,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 1-for-4.
Liberty Center's record is now 3-0. As for Miller City,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 2-2.
 Looking ahead, Liberty Center will head out to  take on North Central  at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Miller City, they will host Patrick Henry  at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. Miller City's pitchers better be ready for this one: Patrick Henry has averaged an impressive 14.2  runs per game this season.
