Ringling extended the longest winning streak in A District 4 this week by beating Rush Springs, 58-0. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
Empire made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 8,427 from 9,568. The improvement came about via a 48-10 victory over Wilson last week.
Velma-Alma's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Comets feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Ty Richardson has thrown for 538 yards and seven touchdowns this season, while Checotah Lynn has 13 catches for 201 yards. Dallen Mercer leads the league in rushing with 672 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Empire takes on second place Ringling. Last week, the Bulldogs defeated the Eagles, while Ringling topped the Redskins.
