For the second straight game, Corinth will face off against Northville. The Riverhawks will be playing at home against the Falcons at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Corinth has three straight wins, Northville has six straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Corinth is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Northville with a sharp 18-8 victory on Friday. Considering the Riverhawks have won four contests by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Gage Bardin made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching four innings while giving up three earned (and six unearned) runs off four hits. Bardin was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with one RBI.

In other batting news, Keegan Baker was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and two RBI. He has become a key player for Corinth: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 1-5 otherwise. Ashton Wright was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Corinth always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .605. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Corinth's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Northville, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
Northville's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Saturday. Corinth has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.7 strikeouts per game.
