Crosby had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Dayton Broncos an 8-0 shutout. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 16 contests by four goals or more this season.

Crosby's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-3-3. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those six matches. As for Dayton, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-9-2.

Crosby will have a chance to go back-to-back against Dayton: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
