The Turpin Cardinals's three-game losing streak came to an end on Thursday. They walked away with a 49-40 victory over Mooreland. The win was just what Turpin needed coming off of a 65-27 defeat in their prior contest.
Leading Turpin to victory were Bryson Parker and Jhett Huffman. Parker scored 17 points, while Huffman scored 15 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Huffman has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Peters, who scored eight points.
Turpin's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Mooreland, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Turpin won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Canute on January 5th. Mooreland won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Mangum on January 5th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Oklahoma (Mangum is ranked 249th, while Mooreland is ranked 242nd).
