Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Belleview). They walked away with a 9-5 victory over the Vanguard Knights on Friday. The win was some much needed relief for the Rattlers as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season.
Aly Axe was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. Axe was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-5.
In other batting news, Aubrey Cobb and Mackenzie Quartararo did most of the damage at the plate: Cobb went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double, while Quartararo scored two runs while going 1-for-3. That's the most runs Quartararo has posted since back in March of 2024. Randi O'Cull also deserves some recognition as she scored her first runs of the season.
