Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only The Richard Pioneers walked away with it. They took their game at home on Friday with ease, bagging a 50-14 victory over Cabrini. Richard might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won five contests by 35 points or more this season.
The victory (which was Richard's fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-4. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 2-7 Cranbrook Kingswood and 3-6 Owosso (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 37.8% over those games). As for Cabrini, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Richard will square off against Everest Collegiate at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Everest Collegiate is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. Cabrini does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
