Interboro can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They walked away with a 74-64 victory over Academy Park. Interboro's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Meanwhile, Boyertown's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their seventh straight loss. The matchup between Boyertown and Methacton wasn't particularly close, with Boyertown falling 61-47. While losing is never fun, Boyertown can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 366th, while Methacton is ranked 81st).
The losing side was boosted by Trey Kern, who scored 24 points along with eight rebounds. Jack Greaves was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Interboro's victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-7. As for Boyertown, they bumped their record down to 5-8 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.
