The win was all the more spectacular given Neshaminy's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 222nd, while Central Bucks East is ranked 63rd).
Neshaminy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Nate Townsend led the charge by scoring 17 points along with eight assists and seven rebounds. Max Currie was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Neshaminy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. As for Central Bucks East, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-5.
Neshaminy will take on Council Rock South at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Central Bucks East, they will head out on the road to challenge Central Bucks South at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
