The Monrovia Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 76-26 loss at the hands of South Pasadena. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Monrovia in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now lost eight in a row.
Derek Peterson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for South Pasadena, scoring 25 points along with two steals. Peterson hasn't dropped below 16 points for seven straight games. Another player making a difference was Jack Madison, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 11 rebounds.
Monrovia has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season. As for South Pasadena, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 20-6.
Monrovia will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Rams at 7:00 p.m. Temple City is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for South Pasadena, they will head out on the road to challenge the Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Blair's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
