The Denver South Ravens can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They walked away with a 53-40 win over Denver North. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Denver South also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Denver South to victory, but perhaps none more so than Christian Cobb, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Cobb has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Brody Shepard, who scored 14 points.
When it comes to explaining why Denver North lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jacob Giron. Despite the final result, he scored 14 points.
Denver South now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Denver North, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Denver South will take on Thomas Jefferson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Thomas Jefferson focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Tuesday. As for Denver North, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Adams City at 7:00 p.m. on January 12th. Hopefully Adams City focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Thursday.
