The Bledsoe County Warriors just played last night, but they'll still head out to face the Meigs County Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on February 8th. Bledsoe County is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
On Wednesday, Bledsoe County had to suffer through a rough 80-37 loss at the hands of Tyner Academy. While losing is never fun, Bledsoe County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 243rd, while Tyner Academy is ranked 60th).
Meanwhile, Meigs County pushed their score all the way to 59 last Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 67-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of Polk County.
Bledsoe County has not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season. As for Meigs County, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-14.
Bledsoe County beat Meigs County 59-49 in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bledsoe County since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
