Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Viburnum, who are still winless after their tenth match. They took a 67-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of Eagle Ridge Christian on Thursday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Cuba's win bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Viburnum, their defeat was their 13th straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-10.
Everything came up roses for Cuba against Viburnum in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 as the squad secured a 59-28 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cuba since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
